Building a movement for race equity and anti-racism in education in Minnesota
Minnesota Education Equity Partnership (MnEEP)
Good Work Group serves as an ongoing partner to MnEEP to develop and support communications strategies and campaigns for building reparative, and racially just education systems in Minnesota.
We work to develop key content and movement-building initiatives and public policy campaigns that support MnEEP’s systems change work at all levels: research; policy; advocacy; community-centered convening; and tools and resources for advancing race equity and justice in education.
Shifting the narrative on mass incarceration and second chances in Minnesota
Better Futures Minnesota
Good Work Group provided ongoing communications consulting and thought leadership/policy advocacy support through grassroots campaigns and storytelling initiatives, including website content development; blogs; impact stories; grant proposals; white papers; and social media campaign for shifting perceptions and policies around mass incarceration, re-entry, and housing injustice in Minnesota.
Working alongside the President, Good Work Group also developed essential white papers detailing Better Futures’ policy goals and social return on investment in an effort to address core issues related to re-entry after incarceration and increase funding for Better Futures’ mission to provide integrated care and essential, trauma-informed supports for men returning from prison.
Building grassroots advocacy for health equity & quality patient care
Minnesota Nurses Association
Good Work Group provided ongoing consulting and creation of high-level strategic communications and narrative-shift campaigns to advance organizing strategies for nurse values and health justice, and ensure all Minnesotans have safe, quality, and affordable healthcare.
We worked alongside the communications team at MNA to develop campaigns and key content that informs, educates, and inspires the public to advocate for candidates and polices that support healthcare and quality care for all Minnesotans.
Building campaign awareness & public support for a new approach to public safety
Kate For Mpls
Good Work Group worked alongside the team at the Kate for Mpls mayoral campaign to develop content and key messaging for Kate’s policy plans around racial justice, public safety, housing, and more. We also provided support in media messaging and planning and public policy research and development.
Along with key community members, Good Work Group also provided support in developing Kate’s extensive public safety plan to build community safety and transform policing.
